Sagamba Makes a Comeback with New Mixtape and First Single “Pesa”

After a long time without any Drop, Rwandan music artist Sagamba has revealed that he’s gearing up to drop a fiery new mixtape. After taking a brief hiatus to focus on his studies, it seemed like his music career was on hold. But now, with his energy fully directed back to the music scene, he’s ready to deliver fresh tracks for his fans. You know what I’m saying, people—he’s back and better than ever!

The first single from Sagamba’s upcoming, yet-to-be-named mixtape, titled “Pesa,” is set to drop on the 5th of this month. Produced by JUNi Quickly, one of the industry’s heavyweights, the track signals an exciting new chapter for Sagamba. “I’m bringing you sounds you’ve never heard from me before,” he shared. “I’m diving into new vibes, experimenting with amapiano and even beats that feel like they’re from another galaxy. You’ll hear that throughout the mixtape.” This daring move is sure to highlight Sagamba’s growth, creativity, and evolving artistry.

While Sagamba has yet to confirm whether the remaining tracks from his mixtape will be released individually or in groups. However, he has assured fans that the project will offer a diverse range of musical styles. Produced by three renowned names—JUNi Quickly, Kina Beat, and Muriro—the mixtape promises an exciting blend of fresh sounds and cutting-edge beats, showcasing Sagamba’s bold exploration of new musical landscapes.

Sagamba’s last release was on November 25, 2023, when he dropped his EP, Pain + Creativity, which includes six tracks like “Nkiza (Intro)” and “No More Sorrow.” Fans can find his previous work on Spotify under his name, Sagamba, as well as on other platforms like Audiomack and Apple Music.

The upcoming mixtape will include nine tracks in total, with JUNi Quickly producing three, Kina Beat handling four, and Muriro crafting the final two. Sagamba has assured fans that the challenges that once slowed down his releases are now in the past, paving the way for a consistent stream of new music.
