The Rwandan entertainment industry has never been more vibrant. Artists are pushing their music to international audiences through world tours, collaborations with foreign artists and producers, and even working on projects beyond borders. Rwandan producers are also making a mark by producing music for international artists. One such artist taking his music to a global level ZAZA, who is promising his fans an exciting comeback.

After a period of silence, ZAZA has officially announced his new single, ‘Megatron’, set to drop soon. The track was recorded in Kenya by producer Kalinga, with the beat crafted by Zimbabwean beatmaker Radikhal. Despite the international collaboration, all the beat work was done remotely, as Radikhal did not travel to Kenya for the project. ‘Megatron’ is trapdancehall, creating a dynamic sound that reflects ZAZA’s evolving artistry. Speaking about the experience, Radikhal expressed excitement, stating he’s eagerly awaiting another “call of duty” from ZAZA for future hits.

ZAZA’s break from music wasn’t without purpose. Over the past months, he had been focused on side hustles across countries like Uganda and Kenya, which kept him away from releasing new music. However, these experiences turned out to be a blessing in disguise. While working on various ventures, ZAZA took the opportunity to study music throughout his travels. He credits this period for deepening his understanding of the industry and refining his craft, making his return even more impactful.

While ZAZA is back in Kigali’s music scene, he reassures fans that his international connections remain strong. His return to Rwanda is merely a change of location, not a shift in his artistic vision. Even during our conversation, ZAZA was actively engaging with his network about upcoming projects.

When asked about a possible album, he confirmed that a full project is in the works but won’t be released until January 2026. He explained, “Making an album can even be possible in just a week, but the kind of album I’m planning to drop is something different. That’s why it’s going to take time. But trust me, my fans will never be bored again.”
